Account Settings

Cuevue has one Settings shell per Space, with tabs down the side. Most tabs configure that Space, but a few — Profile, Notifications, and Billing — are account-scoped: they follow you across every Space you belong to. This page covers those account-scoped tabs. There is no separate “Account Settings” area; open Settings from any Space and use these tabs.

Profile

Profile is pinned to the bottom-left of the Settings sidebar. In it you can:

  • Update your display name.
  • Upload or change your avatar.
  • Manage sign-in and security — see below.
  • Set your appearance and locale preferences — see below.

These updates apply to your user account across all Spaces.

Appearance & Preferences

  • Switch theme between light, dark, and system modes.
  • Timezone: Set your preferred timezone in Profile. Dates and times across all views (Calendar, Timeline, Agenda, ToDo) will respect your preference. If not set, Cuevue auto-detects from your browser.

Email Verification

Email-based signups and email changes require verification links. If you do not receive one, check spam/junk and request a new link from sign-in.

Security

Password and passkey management live in the Profile tab — there’s no separate Security tab.

Password Management

  • Email/password accounts can change their password from Profile.
  • Google-authenticated accounts use Google sign-in and may not see password-change controls.

Passkeys

A passkey lets you sign in with Touch ID, Face ID, Windows Hello, or a hardware security key instead of a password. Passkeys are tied to your device and can’t be phished or reused, so they’re both faster and more secure than a password.

Manage passkeys from the Profile tab:

  • Add a passkey: Click Add a passkey and follow your device’s prompt (fingerprint, face, PIN, or security key). You can register more than one — e.g., one per laptop and phone.
  • Rename: Give each passkey a friendly name (like “MacBook” or “iPhone”) so you can tell them apart.
  • Remove: Delete a passkey you no longer use. Removing every passkey simply falls back to your other sign-in methods.

Once a passkey is registered, the Sign In page offers Sign in with a passkey, and supported browsers surface your passkey directly in the email field as you sign in. See Account Setup & Sign In for the sign-in flow.

[!NOTE] Passkeys require a browser and device that support WebAuthn (most current versions of Safari, Chrome, and Edge). If your browser doesn’t support them, the Passkeys controls explain that and your existing sign-in methods keep working.

Notification Preferences

The Notifications tab (account-scoped, follows you across Spaces) lets you choose per-event delivery for:

  • Comments
  • Mentions
  • Reactions (off by default)
  • Assignments
  • Status changes
  • Uploads
  • Automation failures (in-app on, email off by default)

Each event can be toggled independently for:

  • In-app
  • Email

Changes save automatically.

Billing Access from the Billing Tab

The account-level billing tab is the canonical place to manage your subscription if you own Spaces. Plan changes apply across all Spaces you own.

For plan details and limits, see Billing.

Deleting Your Account

You can permanently delete your account from the Danger Zone.

What Happens

  • Personal profile data is removed.
  • You must confirm with your account email.
  • Spaces you own must be transferred or removed before deletion can complete.

[!CAUTION] Account deletion is irreversible.
