Spaces
A Space is the top-level container in Cuevue. It represents a secure boundary for your data, members, and configurations. Whether you are managing a single season or an entire production agency, the Space is your primary workspace.
Key Features
- Data Isolation: Data never leaks between Spaces. Members only access the Spaces they have been invited to.
- Member Management: Each Space has its own roster of members and roles (Owner, Admin, Member).
- Billing & Usage: Subscriptions are managed at the account level and apply across all Spaces you own.
What Lives in a Space
- Settings: Terminology and branding.
- Work: Projects, tasks, versions, and docs.
- People: Members, roles, and permissions.
Customization
One of Cuevue’s most powerful features is its flexibility. You can tailor each Space to your specific industry needs.
Terminology Mapping
You can rename core entities to match your internal language. By default, Cuevue uses “Projects” and “Tasks”, but you can change these to:
- Podcasting: “Episodes” and “Segments”
- Film/Video: “Scenes” and “Shots”
- Software: “Features” and “Tasks”
Changes to terminology are reflected instantly across the entire UI, including dashboards, headers, and buttons.
Branding
Each Space can be assigned a custom name and a Primary Color. This color is used for dots, icons, and highlights across the dashboard, making it easy to distinguish between different clients or projects at a glance.
Workspace Controls
Locking a Space
Owners and Admins can Lock a Space to prevent the creation of new projects or versions. This is typically used after a season is wrapped or a project is archived to preserve a read-only historical record.
[!IMPORTANT] A Space must have at least one Owner. If you are the last Owner of a Space, you must promote another member before you can leave or delete your account.
