Integrations

Cuevue connects with external tools to streamline your production workflow. Most integrations are configured at the Space level by Owners and Admins. Some integrations (like Dropbox) are connected at the account level and work across all your Spaces.

Google Calendar

Sync your production schedule with your team’s calendar to avoid conflicts and keep stakeholders informed.

What It Does

  • View External Events: See your team’s meetings, production shoots, and external deadlines directly in Cuevue’s Calendar View.
  • Two-Way Sync: Changes to release dates in Cuevue can automatically update corresponding events in your shared Google Calendar.
  • Color Coordination: External events are styled differently from Cuevue items so you can distinguish between internal tasks and outside commitments.

Setup

  1. Navigate to Space Settings → Integrations.
  2. Click Connect Google Calendar.
  3. Sign in with your Google account and grant calendar access.
  4. Select which calendars to display in Cuevue.

[!NOTE] Each team member can connect their own Google account to see their personal calendar alongside the Space’s shared events.

Airtable

Sync your Cuevue projects with Airtable for advanced reporting, automation, or integration with other tools in your workflow.

What It Does

  • Two-Way Sync: Push Cuevue projects to Airtable and pull Airtable changes back into Cuevue.
  • Field Mapping: Map Cuevue fields like status, assignees, dates, location, priority, and custom fields to Airtable columns.
  • Airtable Imports: Pulling from Airtable can update linked Cuevue projects or create new Cuevue projects from Airtable rows that are not linked yet.
  • Conflict Controls: Choose whether Cuevue, Airtable, or the newest change should win when both sides were edited.

Setup

  1. Navigate to Space Settings → Integrations → Airtable.
  2. Enter your Airtable API token (found in Airtable under Account → API).
  3. Select the Airtable base and table to sync with.
  4. Configure field mappings between Cuevue and Airtable columns.
  5. Choose sync direction: Push to Airtable, Pull from Airtable, or Bi-directional.
  6. Choose how conflicts should be resolved when both Cuevue and Airtable changed after the last sync.

Field Mapping

Map Cuevue fields to Airtable columns:

Cuevue FieldAirtable Column Type
TitleSingle line text
StatusSingle select
AssigneesCollaborator or Multi-select
Due DateDate
PrioritySingle select or text
LocationSingle line text
Custom FieldsMatching column types

[!NOTE] The integration settings page is where you configure the Airtable connection, table mapping, sync direction, and conflict behavior. Sync execution uses Cuevue’s Airtable sync actions and job processor rather than a scheduler configured in this screen.

[!TIP] Use Airtable’s automation features to trigger actions (like sending Slack notifications) when Cuevue data syncs.

Megaphone

Export your finished episodes directly to Megaphone.fm  for podcast distribution with dynamic ad insertion. Megaphone is a Space-level integration — each Space connects its own Megaphone account and maps to a specific podcast.

What It Does

  • One-Click Export: Push completed episodes from Cuevue to Megaphone without downloading and re-uploading audio files.
  • Field Mapping: Map Cue fields (native or custom) to Megaphone episode metadata — publish date, author, subtitle, episode/season numbers, episode type, and explicit flag are all configurable.
  • Ad Marker Management: Configure default pre-roll, mid-roll, and post-roll ad insertion points per Space, or customize per export.
  • Scheduled Publishing: Set a future publish date and Cuevue will automatically publish the episode when the time arrives.
  • Re-Export: Force re-export an episode to update metadata or audio on an existing Megaphone episode without creating a duplicate.
  • Status Badges: See the Megaphone export status for each project directly in list views (queued, processing, published, error).
  • Podcast Metadata: View your connected podcast’s details (title, author, cover art, feed URL, episode count) in the integration settings.
  • Campaign Link: After publishing, click through directly to the episode in Megaphone’s CMS.

Setup

  1. Navigate to Space Settings → Integrations → Megaphone.
  2. Enter your Megaphone API token (found in Megaphone under User Settings → API Token).
  3. Cuevue automatically detects your organization and discovers available networks and podcasts.
  4. Select your Megaphone network and podcast to map to this Space.
  5. Optionally configure Field Mappings to sync Cue fields to Megaphone episode metadata.
  6. Optionally set Default Ad Markers for all exports from this Space.

Field Mappings

Map Cue project fields to Megaphone episode metadata. Both native fields (like Due Date) and custom fields are supported:

Megaphone FieldExpected TypeExample Cue Source
Publish DateDateDue Date, Release Date, or custom date field
AuthorTextCustom text field
SubtitleTextCustom text field
Episode NumberNumberCustom number field
Season NumberNumberCustom number field
Episode TypeSelectCustom select (full/trailer/bonus)
ExplicitBooleanCustom checkbox field

Exporting an Episode

  1. Open a project and click Export to Megaphone from the action menu.
  2. Review the episode metadata and ad marker positions.
  3. Optionally set a Scheduled Publish Date for future publishing.
  4. Click Export to start the pipeline.

The export runs through these stages automatically: Queued → Creating → Uploading → Processing → Publishing → Published. If you set a scheduled date, the pipeline pauses at Scheduled and resumes when the time arrives.

Re-Exporting

To update an already-exported episode (e.g., after editing metadata or replacing audio):

  1. Open the project and click Export to Megaphone again.
  2. Choose Re-Export to update the existing Megaphone episode.
  3. The pipeline will update metadata and/or re-upload audio without creating a duplicate.

Ad Insertion Points

Configure where dynamic ads will be inserted:

  • Pre-Roll: Number of ad slots before the episode content (typically 1).
  • Post-Roll: Number of ad slots after the episode content (typically 1).
  • Mid-Roll Markers: Timestamps (in seconds) where mid-roll ads should be inserted.

Default ad markers can be set per Space in integration settings, or overridden per export.

[!IMPORTANT] Only Published Versions can be exported to Megaphone. Draft versions must be published first.

Export Status

After exporting, Cuevue tracks the status with badges visible in your project lists:

  • Queued: Export is waiting to be processed.
  • Creating: Episode is being created in Megaphone.
  • Uploading: Audio file is being transferred.
  • Processing: Megaphone is ingesting and encoding the audio.
  • Scheduled: Waiting for the scheduled publish date to arrive.
  • Publishing: Episode is being set live.
  • Published: Episode is live on your podcast feed. Click the status badge to open the episode in Megaphone’s CMS.
  • Error: Something went wrong — hover for details. Failed exports retry automatically up to 5 times.

[!NOTE] The API token you provide inherits the permissions of your Megaphone user account. Ensure your account has permission to create and publish episodes.

All NLE exports are frame-rate-aware and include both comments (with timestamps) and review markers. See Exporting Feedback for more details.

Slack & Webhooks

Slack notifications and custom webhooks aren’t connected on this page — they’re actions inside Automations. Add a post to Slack or webhook action to any rule to push updates to your team’s channels (or another service) when something happens in your Space. Automations require a Studio plan.
