Inviting Members

Building a production team in Cuevue starts with inviting members to your Space. The invitation flow is secure and flexible, so you can scale your team as your production grows.

Sending an Invitation

Only Owners and Admins can invite new members to a Space:

  1. Open Space Settings: Navigate to Settings from the sidebar.
  2. Members Tab: Click on the “Members” or “Team” section.
  3. Invite: Enter the email address of the person you wish to invite.
  4. Role Selection: Choose a Role (Admin, Member, or Guest) for the new user.
  5. Send: Click “Send Invitation.” An automated email will be sent to the user with a secure joining link.

Managing Pending Invites

Until a user accepts their invitation, their status will show as Pending.

  • Resend: If a teammate didn’t receive the email, you can click “Resend Invite” to generate a new link.
  • Revoke: If you invited the wrong person or the production needs have changed, you can revoke a pending invite at any time to invalidate the link. Clicking the cancel-invite opens a confirmation dialog with the invitee’s email — Keep invitation is the default action, so a stray click won’t drop the invite.

The Joining Process

When an invitee clicks the link in their email:

  1. Account Check: If they already have a Cuevue account, they will be prompted to log in and join the Space.
  2. Signup: If they are new to Cuevue, they will go through the Account Setup process. Once their account is created, they will automatically be granted access to your Space with the assigned role.

Members vs. Guests vs. External Reviewers

Choose the right access level for each collaborator:

  • Use Members for: Internal producers, editors, and full-time collaborators who need full workspace capabilities.
  • Use Guests for: Collaborators who need to view and lightly edit projects (status, title, description) but don’t need full access. Guests don’t consume billable member seats.
  • Use Review Links for: One-off client reviews or external stakeholders who only need to provide feedback on specific media without any account.

Security Best Practices

  • Regular Audits: We recommend reviewing your member list monthly and removing any users who are no longer active on your production.
  • Admin Limits: Keep the number of Admins to a minimum to reduce the risk of accidental configuration changes.

[!TIP] You can see who invited a specific member and the date they joined by hovering over their name in the Member list.
