Overview
Cuevue uses third-party artificial intelligence services to power certain features of our platform. We believe in being transparent about how AI is used to process your data. This page describes which AI services we use, what they do, and how your data is handled.
AI Services We Use
Cuevue integrates with OpenAI and Anthropic to provide the following features:
- Audio Transcription (Whisper):When you upload audio or video files, we use OpenAI's Whisper model to automatically generate text transcriptions. Only the audio data necessary for transcription is sent to OpenAI.
- Cmd+K Ask & Do:Agentic features such as Ask Cue and Cmd+K Do use developer-controlled model routing. Ask defaults to OpenAI's GPT-5.4 mini model, while mutation-capable Do/Plan flows may use Anthropic's Claude Sonnet model for higher-reliability tool use. These features use workspace context (such as transcripts, comments, and project metadata) that you have opted in to indexing via your workspace AI settings.
- AI Field Generation & one-shot text (GPT-5 nano):Lighter-weight features such as AI fields and the AI generate endpoint use OpenAI's GPT-5 nano model.
- Anthropic Claude:Cuevue may route mutation-capable agentic features through Anthropic's Claude Sonnet family. When enabled, the same workspace context described above is sent to Anthropic instead of OpenAI.
How Your Data Is Handled
- Data sent to OpenAI and Anthropic is transmitted securely over encrypted connections (TLS)
- We only send the minimum data required for each AI feature to function
- OpenAI does not use API submissions to train their models. Anthropic does not use API submissions to train their models by default (see Anthropic's data usage policy).
- AI-generated outputs (transcriptions, suggestions) are stored in your Cuevue workspace and subject to our standard Privacy Policy
Your Control Over AI Features
You have control over how AI is used in your workspace:
- Workspace admins can configure which content types (transcripts, comments, documents, project metadata, subtasks) are indexed for AI features
- AI feature access can be restricted to admins only or disabled entirely per workspace
- Transcription is initiated only when you explicitly request it — we do not automatically transcribe uploads
Changes to Our AI Usage
If we add new AI services or significantly change how existing ones are used, we will update this page and notify affected users. We are committed to being transparent about how AI is integrated into Cuevue.
