Overview
Cuevue uses third-party artificial intelligence services to power certain features of our platform. We believe in being transparent about how AI is used to process your data. This page describes which AI services we use, what they do, and how your data is handled.
AI Services We Use
Cuevue uses AssemblyAI for timed transcription and integrates with OpenAI and Anthropic for workspace AI features. Transcription routing also supports OpenAI and Groq as configuration alternatives; one configured provider processes a transcription request.
- Audio and video transcription: Eligible speech uploads can be transcribed automatically after upload. Audio is sent or made available to the configured transcription provider to produce text and timing information. Automatic processing depends on media eligibility, plan limits and provider availability; video auto-transcription is off by default and can be enabled in Settings → AI. You can also request transcription manually.
- Cmd+K Ask & Do: Ask Cue and Cmd+K Do use configurable OpenAI and Anthropic model routing. Requests can include your prompt, selected text and accessible workspace context such as transcripts, comments and project metadata. Workspace AI settings control which content types are indexed; some are enabled by default. Do presents proposed actions for your review.
- AI field generation and text generation: These features send the relevant prompt and source content, such as transcript text, to the configured model to suggest field values or generate text.
- Provider selection: Providers and model versions can differ by feature and configuration. A transcription provider receives the media needed for transcription; a workspace assistant receives the context needed for that request.
How Your Data Is Handled
- Data is sent to AI providers over encrypted connections (TLS)
- We only send the minimum data required for each AI feature to function
- Provider processing and retention terms apply to data sent to that provider; our Privacy Policy lists the services involved
- AI-generated outputs (transcriptions, suggestions) are stored in your Cuevue workspace and subject to our standard Privacy Policy
Your Control Over AI Features
You have control over how AI is used in your workspace:
- Workspace admins can configure which content types (transcripts, comments, documents, project metadata, subtasks) are indexed for AI features
- Workspace assistant access can be restricted to admins or disabled per Space. These controls do not disable transcription
- Video auto-transcription is off by default; Admins can turn it on in Settings → AI. Eligible audio uploads can transcribe automatically; manual transcription is also available
Changes to Our AI Usage
If we add new AI services or significantly change how existing ones are used, we will update this page and notify affected users. We are committed to being transparent about how AI is integrated into Cuevue.
